Grass Stain Sessions Ep. 7: Willow Switch

The Grass Stain Sessions is a video series that explores the sense of human connection music and art provide. The videos feature musicians sharing two songs and telling a story.

Willow Switch is the crossroads between Romani-Romanian saw-player and guitarist Andra Zlatescu, and two-spirit Anishanaabe banjo player Robin Henry. Together they sing open the doorways, calling on the spirits of the land in their ambient haunting tones. Influenced deeply by old-time folk and bluegrass, Willow Switch creates a unique blend of what has been termed post-apocalyptic Doom-Folk music.

Willow Switch members Robin Henry and Andra Zlatescu.

Stories can be shared through a multitude of mediums and the Grass Stains Sessions is a stage that has been set to take viewers into artists’ backyards, histories, and imaginations.
